FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

So you are thinking about signing up to box in one of our Ultra MMA events. Here's some information to answer some of the common frequently asked questions.

+ WHAT WILL TRAINING BE LIKE?

Be prepared to be put through the paces. It will be hard but it will be the most rewarding thing that you will do and will give you a sense of achievement.

Training will be approximately 2 sessions a week and will be weekday evenings or weekends.

You must attend at least 50% of the training sessions to take part.

+ WHO DO I CONTACT FOR HELP OR ADVICE?

+ WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME?

You are expected to commit to 8 weeks training and attend at least 50% of the training sessions. We want you to:

  • Work hard & enjoy yourself.
  • Use the 'I am Fighting' Facebook cover image.
    USA Version
    Canada Version
  • Pledge to raise a minimum $100 for a charity of your choice.
  • Sell tickets to friends and family (this can be standard, VIP or a combination).

+ WHAT WILL THE EVENT BE LIKE?

The event will be well run and organised, with the medical provision the same as a professional event. It will be a glamorous event, and will make you feel like a superstar on the night.

+ I'VE SIGNED UP, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

  1. You will receive a confirmation text and email from us inviting you to join a Facebook group. Please make sure you join this group as information will be posted in there across the 8 weeks.
  2. Our fundraising team will email you with details of your fundraising page.
  3. You will receive a SMS from your area rep within 14 days of signing up.
  4. We will invite you along to a registration meeting where we will give you all of the information about the process and give you chance to ask any questions.
  5. Training starts!

When you sign up an account will be created for you. You can find all Ultra events you have sign up for in your Ultra account. Your account page will also display links to the event Facebook page, fundraising link and much more.

+ CAN MY COMPANY SUPPORT ME?

If you have a company that would like to support you they can just donate to your fundraising page, suggested donation is $100. The company will then be able to get a shoutout on the night.

+ HOW DO I SET UP FUNDRAISING PAGE?

When you sign up you will receive an email from our fundraising team with details of how to setup your fundraising page.

+ HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

+ GENERAL TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets are strictly non-refundable or transferable. Unfortunately, due to logistical reasons, ticket sales end at midnight on the day of the event, we do not sell tickets on the door of our events.

Please present your ticket at the door for entry. If you have purchased a VIP Table, the lead member of your table will have been issued with VIP Wristbands. Please ensure you are wearing your wristband, as this is your ticket.

+ WHEN WILL THE WEIGH IN BE?

The weigh in will be a few days before your event. You are required to attend the weigh in to find out who you are fighting and have face off photos taken.

Join your event Facebook Group(link emailed when you sign up) to keep up-to-date with all the latest news for your event.

+ HOW WILL I BE MATCHED WITH MY OPPONENT?

You will train as a group for 8 weeks. At the end of the training you will be matched with somebody else from that group who is a similar weight, ability, fitness and age to you. We ensure the fairest matches possible at all of our events.

+ CAN I GET ADVICE ON NUTRITION?

Yes, you can get some great advice on our nutritional site Ultra Nutrition.

+ CAN I GET ADVICE ON EXTRA TRAINING?

The gym will be able to give you advice on extra training.

+ DOOR OPENING TIMES?

Door opening times will vary depending on the location. Check the event details on the ticket page and on your e-tickets.

+ WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

We operate a dress to impress code. Find more details here.

+ IS THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?

These events are for over 18's only in Canada or over 21's in the United States. We operate a challenge 25 policy, so if you're lucky enough to look under 25 please bring a valid form of I.D.
